Hi, i'm a new member here. I need some opinions on the parts that i'm about to purchase for my new 550i. I'm getting the Hamann m-tech body kit (all except the side skirts) + RD twin exhaust system all totaling for $6000, including labor + paint. Am I getting a good deal with this? or is it too expensive? i'm also considering to buy a cheaper exhaust system because the RD exhaust will cost me $2500 which is pretty expensive... any suggestions?

welcome. if you decide not to go with rdsport, other options for quad exhaust are eisenmann, hamann, or you could always go custom or with straight pipes. good luck with the mods and enjoy the forums.

As a matter of fact I do! He did the following to his 645i:
1. R54 Motor Conversion
2. RDSport Headers and Cats
3. RDSport Quad Exhausts
http://65.36.231.74/Localized/NorthAmerica...A_E63_Motor.htm
I will try to post it. The exhaust sounds very DEEP and LOUD but music to the enthusiast!

I've checked the price for eisenmann's quad exhaust, the price is nearly the same as RD exhaust. since there's a small price difference between the two, i prefer the RD exhaust because it's 2 actual pipes rather one real and the other side fake (attached from the main pipe)...

well with the rdsport or a custom job, youll get to use an x-pipe which i understood it as to help hp and torque. i think that what you're thinking of with the straight pipes is a gain in hp because of the more air flow but a loss in low-end torque. just go with rdsport
