XM - Sirius Merge????

Oh great, I heard this morning on the news that if the XM-Sirius merge actually happens, that ALL cars who still want it will have to get new receiving units in their cars. I know there's nothing I can do about it, but I'd just like to vent.
PS - One bit of good news is that if it happens, the prices for subscriptions should go down a little. (I'll believe that when I see it, though.)

You may be misunderstanding the news -- old radios will still work but they won't be able to receive the "a la carte" packages for individual channels or the newer offerings that include programming from both systems. The older radios will still be able to get six of the eight new packages.
