Xenon headlight D1S ballast plug

I was about to pull the trigger on a set of Xenon lights off of ebay, until I realized the picture of the plug looked like it was for a d1S ballast. The seller insists that it says D2S around the chrome ring of the projectors, but the plug is way different than the D2S headlight I have. How is this possible?

My Ride: E61 545i Sport Touring
The projector chrome ring on mine says D2S but in fact the HID's are D1S - the igniter on the back of the HID's says so. I think the difference is that D1S come with igniter attached and D2S is just the bulb with holder / connection cap. The igniter would then be either part of the ballast or a separate item. Easy to make a mistake without viewing actual parts fitted.
