How to change the bulb on the DRL to be white bright like a xenon light, what are you folks using? any instructions for this?

How do you program your DRL to be on?

I'm curious too. Short of using resistors or relays, I have not been able to find an h8 bulb that is fully compatible with the oem bulb. I get a light out error every time.

For LCI AE's DRL's...there is an HID option fully compatible, if you don't like the H8 bulbs....

If your car is pre-LCI you can try out the Xenesis bulbs (H7). They will not be an exact match because they're not xenon bulbs but since they're white, they will match better than the stock yellow color.

Thanks guys. I have an 08 550 so it's LCI. I was hoping for a direct bulb replacement of the H8 -- but nothing out there is exactly compatible it seems. I've tried 4 sets up different H8 bulbs and all of them through an error.

Just so you know I have the super white bulbs in my DRL's but because the DRL's don't run at full strength the color will never be super white. I have 6000k look bulbs in and they are still yellow the only time they are white is when I flash the high beams. so if you are trying to get super white DRL's save your money nothing really works because of the lower voltage output of the DRL.
