Not for me. The H&R's worked great on my old, 2007 530xi Sport. DrLev's mechanic was just an idiot and installed them wrong and ended up f-ing up his car in the process.
Not!

Coming from the guy who's posted in the past "don't get H&R's....too harsh!"

DrLev is like that. Why do you think I bought his M5 from him. He didn't like it after owning it for a couple of months, so I took it off his hands. Hahahahahaha!

Pauken....FYI....almost all of the guys on M5Board do NOT like the H&R's, saying the ride is too harsh. Most switch over to Eibach's, which isn't an option for you. If you are going to drop it, do it right and save up for KW coilovers.

I finally got to put on my 19" X3 128's on my 535xi last week. Here are some pictures.

For those interested the fronts are 18 X 8.5 ET 46 mounted with 10mm H&R spacers. The rears are 19 x 9 ET 51 with 15mm spacers. Neither the front nor rear spacers were necessary for proper fitment.

I went with Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 245/35-19 and 275/30-19. They have been great so far!
look great, but I might be a little biased . Interesting to see the difference in the offset, those aren't as dished-in as the et20/32 ones are.

Not surprising.

More offset=less dished in

Plus the rears are 9's instead of 9.5"

I'm just psyched that there was an options for us xi drivers!

I know, I just didn't realize it'd be that big of a visual difference. they still look great!

So I know the ET18/32 offsets on the 128 rims made for the RWD E60's won't fit the xi models, but i am not sure I understand why. Is there really no way to make them fit an xi car? Would they stick out too far? I love the 128 rims and really like the look of the ET46/51 rims from the X3 but would love to get the more dished look of the wheels with the higher offsets. Is there a replica 128 wheel with a greater offset and more dished look that would fit an e61 xi?
(Don't mean to hijack this post but figured it had been inactive for a while and this seemed like a good place to ask these questions).

What you'll find is that those wheels with the lower offset numbers will stick way too far out beyond your fender. If you take a higher offset (e.g. 40), and add a spacer, you can make it lower (e.g. 30), but you can't take a lower offset number, and make it higher.

This is why the original poster was able to take the stock wheels, add spacers, and make it sit relatively flush.

For your XI, you'll need to keep the offsets at 35ish or higher (assuming 8.5" wide in the front, and 9.5" in the rear). I just picked up some Miro 942 with 35 in the front, and 33 in the rear, and they fit perfectly! I'll post pics next week after I get a couple more mods on.
