Thanks for the replys! I really don't know much about this. I don't even know what an ecu is. I'm going to do some research and see what I find. I have a lease so do you still think its worth it?

Any stuff that you can physically uninstall would retain some resell value. But it depends on whether you'd go through the trouble of installing and uninstallng at lease end.

I guess you haven't seen the RPI products. Read post #8 for details.
Yes....I have. I stand by my original statement.

So thanks to the curse of this forum I am considering things I never thought I would before. lol Are there any worthwhile mods to make on the 528i that would make it noticeably faster without breaking the bank? I know about the sprint booster, scoops and love the idea of an rpi exhaust. I have to say I would feel foolish putting on an exhaust though when the car is not fast lol What is going to get this cars 0-60 6.9 sec time down? Or is it not worth it and I should just plan to get a bigger engine next time. Thanks
You sound like me when I had my 2007 525i.. 215 HP and 185 torque was pointless for what I was wanting out of a BMW.
After your lease, I would highly suggest upgrading to a 535i or a 550i.

Yeah thats pretty much what I'm gonna do. I would really feel foolish adding exhaust and stuff to a slow car only to make it a little less slow. That was always a pet peeve of mine on other cars. Since I cant do any mods within a fair price that would have significant gains I will just finsih up the body work and enjoy the cruise factor ;o)
