this should be very straight forward, find a 12volt usb socket that you like that has the red/black (positive/negative) wires inputs, decide on the location of mounting it, you might have to cut or drill an opening to mount it securely, then run the wires to the rear cigarette lighter socket and tap the wires accordingly.
If i remember correctly, it's a thicker green wire with a white stripe. And it should mate up to the center location of the cigarette lighter connections.
The ground wire is red and a white stripe, and it mates to the outer body of the cig. lighter socket. The color of wires may be different on your car, so best to get a volt meter and verify.
Do a search on youtube to find videos on how to remove the rear trim so you can access the cig. lighters.
This one is in spanish, but at least you get to see the process on how it's done.

the same principle will work elsewhere i think I may do my cig lighter
FIND A ROUND usb... remove the 12v socket... POP IT OUT... POP in 12v usb, on the back-side... POP the 12 volt socket back on ... and replug back into OE plug. Reinstall if you need pics let me know looks factory with the flap and all... took 20 min i used hot glue to hold it together DONT BRAKE THE PINS that hold it into the dash...

I purchase a 12v converter to USB on ebay. I powered from the passenger's footwell power source but you can powered from the cigarette lighters in the back. Wiring you need to figure out.
This will not get any signal to head unit at all. Don't think is possible. Just a power source.
