Teammates - I've notice my worn windshield seal today and I've search the forum for a fix but no luck.
- I'm definitely not going to the stealers for this (I try to avoid them for everything)
- I'm wondering if I go see "JoeTheMan" would he really give me a good job?

What do you guys think? If you can also send me a link where to buy that sealing piece and the how-to; I'll be more than happy to do it myself.

Thanks.

Here is one for the 330 it's the same. You need to order it from BMW. Maybe you are lucky and they have it in stock. Pay close attention to the video and how they put the seal in and then remove the tape film so that the seal sticks properly. I will do mine next week. I just purchased the front and rear. The rear is much easier and simply pulls out and the goes back in. You have to start from the corners on the rear though. I believe the cost for both were like 70.00

I just hit 50,001 miles so officially its no longer.

I'll buy the seal and follow this vid.

Do I have to find the part number for this (if there's any) or just tell them and they'll know?

Thanks.

If you have 50,001 mile, you should just call them. They might go ahead and change it out under warranty. If not, just get the seal from then. The front was actually cheaper than then rear. It's possible they have it in stock because these seals seem to start breaking down after about four years. Mine did and the car is always in the garage.

I can't remember exactly, but I think the part is only $40 or so from the dealership.

This literally takes 10 minutes to do. It'll probably take longer only if your damaged one is all gummy and gooey. Definitely recommend doing this when your car is cool and hasn't been under the sun.

Thanks for the advice, I'll check with the stealer in the AM.

What was not easy about it? I changed out the rear the other night and was very simple. I held off on the front for your same reason, there seems to be just that unknown I guess, but I will do this in the next days. Any pointer you can share or emphasis that the video may have missed?
