Thanks Iceman i live close to Walnut im in chino hills whats the difference between half metal tint and the other one.
if you dont have Nav then just get the half metal tint.. Its gonna have alittle more mirrior look to it.. Plus you get to save some money. If you have NAV and you get the half metal the NAV's gonna have a hard time tracking the GPS Satellites through the half metal tint. I learned my lesson from my E39 the NAV had so much problems because of the half metal tint. But so far the non metal tint has no problems at all. So if you want use Rich's tint shoppe you have to schdule an appointment because he's always booked. here's his number 626-913-3718 ask for Rich and tell him Bing refered you.

Then just get the non-metal tint its about $50 more but its worth it at least you dont have to worry if your nav's gonna work or not.

I just got my tints done on my IS. Looks like a good job to me. Price was good. $150 I got 30% Suntec film on my car. Hes warrantying it for lifetime as long as I own the car. He also has cheaper dye tint for $99 but thats only a 3 year warranty.

Oh and reguarding the NAV I dont think you have to worry about it. The NAV antenna is on the sharkfin. With metallic based tint you should worry about AM reception instead. But I havent had any problems on my E60. I went with the good ol' standard metallic based tint. $215 Wintech Tinting http://www.wintechtinting.com/ a lot of E60s used Wintech for their HuperOptic Ceramic Tints. I didnt want to pay $430 and HuperOptic didnt have anything darker than 35% which is Waaaay too light. Might was well have no tints, unless you want it for just protection, which a lot do. So I went with the metallic based, I want it for looks and protection. Mine is not the silver mirror look. Its charcol color. Click on the Tint Link under my signature for pics. its DARK at 17%

Nah I dont think theres a catch. Hes a good guy. Done a lot of work around this area. He also does clear bra. I got my clear bra for the IS done from him and so did my cousin on his A4 and its very good... So it wasnt a he got lucky once and did a good job just that one time. Thats the only reason why I decided to let him do my windows because I've seen his work on 2 cars on clear bra and its good. And so far the window is looking good.

Tell him Eric with the IS 350 that did the clear bra and 30% window tint sent you only because he does a good job and he'll be extra creful with your car.

Oh heres his website if you want to see http://www.aae3m.com
