LOL. Tint on the windshield. I'm sorry, but that has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Why don't you just close your eyes next time you're on the freeway? It'll be a quicker death.
55% is almost nothing. If you live in a sunny climate it just 'normalizes' the intensity to what some of us have most of the year during the daytime. At night it makes things slightly more dark.

you definitely have a point. if you knew what you were talking about. but instead i will make you a gentlemans bet. you come and drive my car, down the darkest road in America, and tell me if you can really tell my windshield is tinted.

id be willing to bet that you wont be able to tell, honestly. at 55% at does not affect my driving whatsoever, i promise
I was told most cars have factory windows tinted at 70% so that we do not get glare etc, so 55% on the windscreen would only tint it 15% more, if you had 20% or less on the windscreen that would be stupid lol

Not sure if the factory front windshield is tinted. The factory usually tints the upper portion of the windshield and not the whole thing. Regardless, I think your math is wrong. If the factory windows allows 70% of the light in, adding a 55% film will allow 55% of the already reduced light. 55% of 70 is 38.5%. I would not want that on my windshield.

There is a 6-series at our local dealer with tint on the windshield. It is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. I have 35% on my car (not windshield) and it is hard to see out when dark. I couldn't imagine tinting my windshield. That is like asking to get in an accident. Maybe on a 100% show car but not for a street car.
