didnt get answered on that other thread so i thought i might as well start my own. well i have a silver gray e60 with gray interior. ive been debating about tinting it because of its light color and all. any suggestions? also anyone with a silver gray e60 with tint could you share your pictures? also.. when i searched about tint i mostly found ceramic tints highly recommended. i was just wondering, if i missed it or not, i did not see any mention of titanium tint. the reason is i was quoted for $200 for all windows except the windshield for titanium high performance tint. i saw an acura TL at their shop with it and it looked good. and opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Never heard of tintanium tint.
Titanium has become one of those overused buzz words in the past few years. Yes, Titanium is a strong metal.... and it is one of the most abundant resources in the earth. But I don't know if it has any appreciable difference for window tint.
I have Huper Optik ceramic tint on my E90. I like it because both my BMWs are dark gray. Ti Gray for my E60, and Sparkling Graphite for the E90. The Huper tint on the E90 matches the paint color of the car. I have metallic film on the E60, which is a black color film. If I were doing both over again, I would go with the Huper on both.

The problem with metallic tints is that radio reception can be affected.
Click on "My Ride" in the signature for a JPEG of Titanium Silver with ceramic tint.

Like everyone else here said, I would avoid any metallic tint. There are three types of tint: Dyed, Metallic, and Ceramic. I have heard that Suntek Carbon is a good dye-based tint. It was what I was going to go with before I got Formula One Pinnacle Series (ceramic).
i might be interested in tinting too. nerwezzy when are u planning to do this?

i have no idea when.. weather is still cold so i dont really have to worry about tinting for heat reduction. still debating after hearing so many opinions.. like once its there its there and my car being light and all.. and just thinking how itll look. thats why i was seeing if someone here has the same color of car as me with tint.. cuhz i havent really seen one. for sure if i do get it done ill be looking at ceramic tints.

hey thanks john that really helped. i got my mind stuck on it now. i am definitely thinking about tinting my car now. ill let you know if and when ill be getting it done.

hey nerweezy,... there is a place on cherry next to the new best buy where i have both my bmw tinted... with a warranty of i think 5 years..just hold the reciept... i went 35% all around... and my wife i did 20 % all around. for your car it should be less than 170 alll around... they are goood..ericd
