you could always get another quad exhaust system. maybe rdsport, eisenmann, hamann, custom, straight pipes... just other options.

Like GeneArch said, without extensive modification it won't fit. How extensive? Like removing your spare tire compartment extensive. It's not worth the trouble or $$$. You're better off with one of the aftermarket vendors that NeRwEEzy recommend.

Especially, does he know the price of a stock exhaust by the dealer ?

100% right

I know perfectly I was right, but in the past Vegas corrected me saying that with some mods ... THe problem, instead, is that the exhaust is ALL the exhaust, completed, from catalysts to rear bumper . Not only a muffler (that has an own name infact, 'muffler')
And you could install the M5 exhaust on a V8, but not on the L6 .
(except for the spare tire mod, ok - the M5 hasn't spare tire compartment and 545i/550i have it)

Hahaha... without dropping the V10 in, there isn't a way any e60 can use the full M5 exhaust from the headers back. At best, all one can do is use the four mufflers. To do so, you would have to tear out the spare tire compartment to make room. Then you would need to have welding done to connect the stock pipes to the four mufflers. All this for a stock M5 exhaust? CRAZY.
