changing tires and 275/30 on the rear has been a pita, so 285/35/19 seems very intriguing, but don't know if they would rub with my h&r as I've found mixed reviews.
thanks guys

I have the 166 wheels with 285/35/19 in the rears along with 12mm spacers, riding on the stock sport suspension. It would rub a bit if I go over a dip or have some passengers in the back.
I first thought it was just the fenders and got them rolled. While the guy working on the fender rolling, he spotted that it was mainly rubbing the plastic fender liner, not the actual fenders.
So from another forum member's suggestion, get a heat gun and warm up that area to mold it away from the tire to give it more room. The liners are plastic so they'll take shape. I'm also thinking the 12mm space is pushing it out a bit so there's less room for clearance on the outer edge.
You will be lower on the H&R springs but should be ok without spacers, but if you find that it's rubbing, get it checked and heat up the liner and mold them away from the tires. Just be careful and don't melt them.
