I don't know about the turbo. I have a 545i myself and when the time comes I hope that tuners don't forget about us since the 4.4L motor is not very common and now the 550i has 4.8L. The one thing I did notice though is that Alpina decided to base the Alpina B5 on our motor. So technically there is a supercharger available but I believe the B5 has different pistons, cam and block. This is still a good sign, they got 500 HP out of our motor and as far as I know they do not use the 4.8L in their new cars yet.

Lots of shop on this side of the pond will do custom turbocharge systems for our cars. Most shops will put a small quick spooling turbo with a front mount intercooler and then just add few pounds of boost to create more power. The issue I would be concerned with is how will the engine hold up?

Well in estonia we are not allowed to do almost anything with the car, but so what:-) I was hoping to find some sort of turbo or supercharger kit.. Does anyone know where to find information from internet?
http://www.vfengineering.com/
(US)
http://www.esstuning.com/ (more quality than VF, but you have to wait about another year for their kit)
Norway, near you
You can begin with the exhaust, kat, remap, airbox .. There are 50HP to get, at least, with these mods .

Faster than the M5. Is it enough for you ?
But before a new exhaust etc... THEN supercharge or turbocharge!
