I wish Silverstar made an H8 bulb. It seems that this would be the best of the least expensive options to upgrade the AE's on an LCI e60.
It seems that most bulb changes work in changing the color but most people have commented that the brightness is greatly diminished with whats out there.

You'd get an error code.

Why is that. Would you also get an error code switching to the fog light (I think 9006)

Use a MTEC Cosmos Blue H8: http://www.aftermarketbulbsshop.com/MTEC-C...p/mte-cb-h8.htm
Anyone have pics of this on their car. I have seen many with the GP Thunder 8500.
(Out of curiousity, isnt the 8500 range more blue than Xenon white??)

GP thunder 8500K in the fogs are more blue..which is why I just switched those to the mtec super white 4350K bulb to match the xenons better...before installing I tried the mtec bulbs in the AE's, looks the same as the GP's...so no difference, both are white for AE's...

What is your opinion about brightness of the AE's during the day.....10% dimmer, 25%, 50%
you could try the racing dash H8 LED's, but I saw a member report error codes with those, even tho on e92's there are no error codes..

GP vs stock...maybe 25% dimmer...member troybal's comparison pics were pretty good (the one in your original thread about the LCI AE's and H8 bulbs....

yeah, I keep going back to look at those pics. I got an message from Nick at JWLevi telling me that the LED's are actually dimmer than the H8 bulb replacement.
Wish there was a simple solution.
