Hows the ride on the 19's? If it feels good driving I would just keep them.

BTW .. This thread should be renamed H&R's ruined my ride

All you XI owners should do 19's, NOT 18's. 18's are a waste of money. Take it from me, I know. Don't think twice, anymore. Nuff said.

Alright...took me too long to get this installed. I bought a set of 19'' miro m6 reps from member myfootsmells. Awsome vendor by the way! Front:245 REAR: 275. I also purchased a set of H&R lowering springs.(xi model)...... Well, I crossed my fingers and sent it to a custom shop around my town. They got it installed no problem, no vibrations, and no rubbing. Its a totally differnet riding experience, really glad I went and did it. As I was their I had them install my brand new remus quad exhaust. I was definetly disapointed about the sound. Completely ruined my day  My AFE over powers anything coming from the exhaust. You can only hear an exhaust sound from 1-4000rpm. If you punch the gas pedal you dont hear anything like a modified exhaust. Complete opposite of what I wanted. Bringing back the car in to see what they can do. Any advice from anyone on how to produce a deep sound from the exhaust that I could tell them to try? Mind you I still want to pass all my inspections. Before everyone goes nuts about no pictures. I have my pictures at the shop. I get to be put on a website!!!! Well my car. Will Post all my measurments taken before and after including the all the pictures you can look at. Check back soon.!

I'm on Eibach Pro springs on stock shocks. My car's about 2 years old but the car works well, over bumps, etc.... The only complaint I've had is about a slight increase of vibration at idle caused by the diesel engine. I've had it to the shop for five or six times but eventually I think it's due to the resonance of the shorter Eibach springs that is causing it.

But I haven't had the problems that the OP has. I think it's either springs/shocks are very old or perhaps the H&R due to its very short stance caused the shocks to leak or die......

Dunno...

I'll tell you one thing. Wouldn?t have known what to do if it wasnt for alot of people giving their opinions and experiences on certain moddings. Im still trying to figure out what happened to the OP of this threads car and why he had problems.

P.s....Anyone know how to get my remus quad exhaust louder and deeper. Besides buying you v8 car.

You give me hope! I installed my 19x10's on my XI today and want to lose the gap. Did you take before and after measurements? I was nervous about these springs from other peoples experiences but perhaps it was just a couple of unfortunate incidents.

If I read correctly...Correct if im wrong, I only know one person with a problem of installing his springs which would be the starter of this thread. Yes, I took took pictures of the measurments before and after. Take into consideration my springs will drop even more once it get setteled in. It now sits 2 fingers in the front and 2-3 fringers in the back. Go and get it done. It felt weird going into my trunk with it being so low.

How much did the spring install run you? I was quoted $800, is that excessive?

The car was 3 months old when I had the springs installed, but I am pretty sure the shocks were shot after 6 months. Never again would I do "just" springs.

I paid $260 for the install, and it was done perfectly, aside from the stops not being cut enough.
