Any parts dealer that stocks Mahle filters. They have a good aftermarket website where you can cross reference to the BMW part numbers.

I was just doing a little price checking for my 08 550i and found that the dealer here in Greenville, SC charges $18.23 for an oil filter kit which is a hair less than the germanfilters website...

In the past for my e39 I ordered my filters from PelicanParts.com and it was a Mann brand kit for about $10 (it was an M5 filter).

After looking at pelican for my e60 filter, the site indicates an OEM supplier but its a Hengst this time for about $9. Is Hengst really an OEM for BMW filters now?

I always go to the dealership. I feel like paying an extra few dollars for an oil filter is minuscule when you drive a $60,000 dollar car.
Plus, its only $20 dollars at most...

I ordered my filter from them, it did not come with the 2 gray o-rings, only the big black one. Is that normal? Oh and it was made in Mexico???

Yes, and a lot of places will give you a 10-15% discount if you are a BMWNA Club member. If you're just buying one filter at a time the freight can kill the deal from an aftermarket website.

I've found these guys to be reasonable: http://www.autohausaz.com
