Have you ever had a bra on a vehicle before? I had one on my first car, a 82 Dodge Omni 024 that had 70 HP.
Bwahaha!!
I would highly recommend NOT putting one on your car as they cause more damage than they prevent. Dirt, debris and water get under the bra, then the wind flops the bra around, effectively marring "wet sanding" your paint to a dull finish. DO NOT BUY the bra or a Dodge Omni 024!

had one on my first car too. 86 firebird.. car pictured was not mine, closest thing i could find to it. the bra couldnt have done more damage... but the bras are for ugly 80s cars, and porches, which werent ugly, but bras on porches were big in the 80s

LOL I had a leather bra on my first car too hahahaaaa how weird is that?!?! LOL I had my bright-red 1991 Chevy Beretta GT - WITH the 3.1 liter V6, might I add!!! Now that car took a friggin' beating from me... Gaaawd, I don't even wanna try to remember the kind of condition it was in when I was selling it - I still can't believe someone actually bought it - as in, paid money for that junk LOL
as far as where to buy a leather bra now, sorry pal - the kind of leather bras I see these days don't go on cars
(but they do occasionally come off inside cars)

I think the OP is only using it for the trip and not keeping it on so I don't see a problem with it. The older bras you guys have used were shitty but even the bras I had on my Prelude in the early 90s didn't flap around or damage my paint and I had it on for probably over a year.
Clear bra is cool only if 1) his car doesn't have any nicks and scratches already and 2) he needs some semi-permanent protection but they can be pricey. Blue painters tape is a cheap and easy solution if you don't mind your car standing out like a neon bulb on the freeways. haha
If you really want a bra, it seems like they make custom ones for our cars at Colgan Custom (http://www.colgancustom.com/shop_vparts.php#1). I also recalled seeing one in the 5 series accessories catalog but now I can't find it.
Good luck and have a safe trip.
