Hello everyone I have a 545I sports package and I want to know if anyone knows where and what type of springs can I add to the rear so that I am able to put more weight on the trunk and not rub the tires when I am driving. Just need to be able to support more weight. What kind of springs and where to buy them would be helpfull. Thank you.

i cant imagine what you could be doing on a regular basis that would require this kind of modification. how much weight are we talking and how often. i wouldnt advise changing just the rear springs. seems like you are thinking of raising UP the rear and making it stiffer, kind of like an early 80s trailer park trans-am.

at least that is what i am picturing. you may need to elaborate a bit

how many miles on your current shocks and springs?

and how much weight do you need to transport?

are you running on stock size wheels/tires? 18', 19", 20" etc...?

Carrying about the load of 3 adults sitting in the back. Just about 3 days a week. I am at 60k on my car and running 19" staggered. Ill change both front and rear if I have too, just to be somewhat able to handle the weight

what 19" wheels are you running? OEM or aftermarket? If aftermarket, what are the rear offsets and what tire size are you running?

Inflatable overloads would be ideal. Just not sure they could be mounted on your car.

I have the sports package suspension as well, and was previously rolling on 20x8.5 w/ 245/35/20 and 20x10 285/30/20 and drove with a car-full of adults. Never did my car rub unless we went over a major dip.

The wheels are aftermarket running 275 19 30 on the rear I am not sure about the offset but yes you are right it only rubs over dips but here in chicago there are tons of dips so I need something to handle the dips plus anything else that might affect the rub. any ideas

find out the offsets...they might be a bit too aggressive..

That's the proper tire size/ratio for the rears, optionally some folks run 285/30/19. Can you post pics of your car with the wheels (various angles)? It shouldn't rub, unless your offsets are "aggressive".
