My Ride: 545, Auto, Sport, L7, Pdc, Sunshades, Silver Gray/Black, 19x8.5/9.5 Monet Wheels, Michelin PS A/S Tires, Full M-KIt, B&B Exhaust, 20% Llumar Tint

Based on a couple posts here it seems that some of the M5 parts are starting to become available...I would really like to pick up the trunk piece (the one that sits behind the license plate)...any info on when it can be ordered?

I am afraid you will have to wait 2 years. For that period all M5 parts are restricted. Only M5 owners cud get them.

My dealer here has confrmed that the M5 parts will be restricted, and you need a M5 VIN and proof of owner Identity to order

Doesnt mean a friendly M5 owner cant get you one, and im shure you will get aftermarket ones soon

Some specific parts are offered within the specifically approved M- programme for e60. But even then I am not sure that they are exactly identical to those parts of M5.

That's because those are parts for the regular E60 too. For the M-Tech bodykit - it includes front and rear bumper, side skirts, wheels and steering wheel.

I know. But since they are REGULAR SOMEWHERE in the world, they are not restricted! Means, they are orderable.
