My Ride: 2005 530i Titanium Silver, Black Interior, Preimum Package, Sport Package, Premium Sound Package, Steptronic Transmission, Xenon Adaptive Headlights........Waiting its arrival within days!
New on the forum - I am in Southern California............
I have ordered a 530i that gets here in a few days. I am considering getting some after market rims. Any input on how different wheel sizes affect the ride and handling of the car. My car will come with the 18 inch Styling 123 wheels, which is part of the sport package. My first option is to just replace the 18 inch wheel. Second option is to go with a bigger 19 or 20 inch wheel, but I am concerned about affecting the handling of the car.
Also, any suggestion where I could sell my 123 wheels after I replace them? EBay perhaps?

welcome shawn.
that is exactly my car, i am still head over heals with it! where did you find that photo? do you have a high res of it?
going 19" or 20" is more for cosmetic reasons i think, but 20" rims are extremely fragile.
some members here have the unfortunate occasion to learn the hard way.
if given a choice i'd go for brytons 19", or wait for the new one on the m5 next year.
i saw a post under classifieds looking for 123.
best of luck with your gorgeous ride.

Unless you are buying the car or keeping it for a long time then keep your wheels. You never know whne you may reuse them. And if you leased you can return the car with the originals

Hi Shawn G:
After market wheels? I just purchased my 18inch Parallel M REplicas from the Wheel exchange: http://www.thewheelexchange.com/ for 599.00 + S&H for my 2004 e60 530i, and they look and are doing well, NOW, LOL, (SEE PIC BELOW)
If you want to stay with BMW OEMs you might want to try Chapman BMW in Scottdale AZ,,, and on the web for their subsidary company: "BMW Wheels, com" at: http://bmwwheels.com/
Also if you decide to go the wheel exchange route, be very careful, email me at Presley348@aol.com for further info on what to watch out for.
Sincerely,
Raymond Presley
After with my 18 inch Parallel M REplicas
BEFORE with 17inch wheels:
By the way I sold my "Like New" factory 17inch 138 wheels in the picture above to a man here at the froum for $800.00, (A word to the wise: Try to stay away from eBay in selling your factory BMW Wheels...I tried ebay on some other wheels I was selling, and eBay charged my $35.00 just to list my two used wheels there, and I did not have a single bid..and made 0, but eBay got their money!!! To me the e60 forum is you best choice in selling you wheels..I wish you the best!)
