Hey guys

New to the forum and just picked up an 08 535i in white.

I live in Toronto and was looking for input on if i should put rims on the car or not. I am not familiar w car upgrades / mods or anything so i was hoping for some help.

what is the change in the ride quality if i moved to 20"? does the extra weight slow the car? Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. I figure i'd use the stock rims for winter tires and find something for the summer?

thanks for the help!

20's will always make the ride harder. As for performance of course if you get heavier rims that will slow down your total performance... its up to each individual... how much money your willing to fork out...and what look.... Rims are of the best upgrades you can do to a car, because it will give a all around performance. You buy something in the lines of Forged Magnesium/carbon fiber wheels and you've just gained about 5-10HP, you also reduced your braking by up to 10-15 feet. Remember the lighter your wheels the faster the engine can turn them and vice versa the lighter they are the easier they are to slow down. But your talking about G's right there in just rims....
