Has anyone used wheel spacers to give their car a more "agressive" look. H&R offers 5, 10 and 15mm. Also, will they effect ride quality?
I ran 15mm front and 20mm rear on my 535i. The H&R spacers are hubcentric so no problems at all, I loved 'em....
Notice the top of the wheel/arch...the difference is pretty amazing:

It does give a slightly broader stance and the wheels and tires seem to look like they fill the wheel wells "better".
I have a few questions about the use of spacers in general:
- Did you have to use longer lug bolts?
- And if so, did the spacers come with them?
- 15-20mm isn't a huge amount but is there any report of additional stress on drive-train and / or suspension components?
- Did you find it necessary to re-adjust the wheel alignment?

I am running 5mm in front and 15mm in the rears on stock 124s,
- Did you have to use longer lug bolts? - yes and i got them from trinity when i got the sapcers.
- And if so, did the spacers come with them?
- 15-20mm isn't a huge amount but is there any report of additional stress on drive-train and / or suspension components? - no because they are so light so the unsprung wieght being added is very low.
- Did you find it necessary to re-adjust the wheel alignment? - no, you need an alignment only when you change the shocks or springs.

Spacers are an easy upgrade to give your car a wider more aggressive look. 15mm spacers would work perfectly on your car and you do need the longer bolts. I also recommend sticking with the H&R TRACK+ spacers, that's what we carry exclusively because of their reputation for strength and construction.
