yes, some might say otherwise but even at 5mm it is recommended. why risk it IMO? the bolts dont cost that much anyway.

No. You do not. I had 5mm spacers on my 2007. No need for longer bolts. Kevin Foote at TurnerMotorsport can confirm this too, when you call him and place your order.

Spacers are the best.
