wheel spacers

what's the point of installing spacer anyway? Is it for look or performance? I have a 545i with stock wheels. I'm planning to get 20" MMR GT1 in the future. Should I get spacers? If so, what size? I heard 5mm in front and 12mm in rear is ok... Let me know guys

it really depends on the ET (offset) of the wheels. best bet is to put the wheels on and measure. No real performance increase but it looks cooler

humm... Learn something new everyday...Thanks man. I guess I won't be doing this mod. I rather save my money and get me a DINAN intake

Spacers are purely for aesthetics. There is no real dilemma with putting them on, but after considerable use, they can wear bearings out a little quicker (but not really a big deal).
