After driving the MY 2004 525i and 530i, each with non-sport package wheels, I came away with the impression that the 525i has a much more compliant ride. I assume that that is a result of the 225/55/16 tires, and not due to any suspension differences. I realize that many people have not liked the design of the standard 525i wheel, and that it has been deleted in MY 2005 for the style 138 wheel used on the 530i, but aesthetics aside, have others found the ride to be superior on the smaller wheel/tire combination? Does handling really suffer? I did notice that in Europe the style 134 wheel is standard on the 530i sold there and has been continued into 2005.
