I have style 123 rims that have few tiny nicks and two of the wheels have small scratches (curb rash), about 1-2 inches on both wheels. I was wondering if there is a way to repair this, and where would I go and how much will it cost, in DFW, TX area, if possible.

Also, after the repair, will they look like new? Or you'll be able to see the repair?
Any help is much appreciated.

I have had wheels repaired on vehicles before and was always happy with the results. If the finish of the wheels is painted (not polished or brushed) then the repair is almost unnoticable. The local person who does my wheels charges me $75/wheel and first fills in the damage, sands to perfection, then refinishes the wheel.

Does the entire wheel gets re-painted/refinished? I wonder if its even worth doing for a small scratch. I would assume that factory finish is better/more durable than refinished one.

I've had my wheels repaired as well. They look like brand new . . . and it's a lot cheaper than buying new wheels!!

I found a few websites describing the procedure for a do-it-yourself paint repair. Apparently, Porsch, BMW and Mercedes use the same color and brand of paint for painted wheels:

My wheels were scratched all to Hades by the automatic car wash's wheel brush. They mutilated the finish. I was--and am--P.O.'ed.

These guys come to you in a mobile repair truck.
Cost is about $80/wheel for small repairs.

In the UK we have whats known as sandblasting takes the wheel finish off and fixs the damage repaints/bakes and laquers and hey presto new rims price varies on size of wheel around ?70 for 18" but is a perfect job

Someone at tire/rim repair shop told me that method ain't gonna last too much in most of the cases. It's much safer and much much more rezistant to sand and putty the damage.
