Wheel locks!
#6
I have seen the guys at tire shop taking sockets and tapping them securely onto wheel locks so many times because the customer lost/misplaced the keys. After that I stopped bothering with them. It makes emergency roadside maintenance a nightmare, if you lose the key you are screwed, and basically - if a thief wants your rims, they will get them.

Get McGuard, the euro edition. Its like $60. Definitely worth it. The european one has a ring outside the lug which prevents anything from gripping it.

Even if you have the ones with the revolving ring it doesn't stop the the thieves.
A local tyre shop told me all you have to do is tighten the other four bolts by a small amount and the locking one comes loose enough to be easily removed.
True they are probably more of a deterrent but apparantly not fail safe.
