Okay so I bought a set of 4 oem 166 wheels with the m6 offset recently from a dealer. I sent one back due to a small scuff on it ( probably from shipping ) they sent me another wheel immediately. My problem is the new wheel looks exactly like the other ( it is the rear ) but it does NOT have BBS stamped on the back of the wheel and the hub looks rather different as well. My question really is do ALL OEM bmw wheels have the BBS on the back? Are they trying to pull a fast one on me? Please let me know as this is quite a reputable dealer...

Give us a couple of pics of the rim. I'm interested to see it.

They are factory. I had cracked one of my 124's and had bought a replacement. It had different markings and did not say bbs on the rear. After I contacted my service manager, he said it was a updated production wheel. Looked exactly the same as the others once mounted. If you got them from the dealer do not worry. They are authentic.

That's a tough question.
I wouldn't swear that there was a BBS stamped into every and one of them.

Those wheels look clearly different, that's no question. How about the front sides? I would like to see the spokes and the concavity.

Why don't you bring it up to the dealer and just see what they say?

thanks, yeah i will just wanted to see what people thought. your comment was most assuring and they for sure seem authentic. just didn't think in a million years they wouldn't look 100% the same all around.

just talked to them, they said different production years for these wheels may not have been made by BBS. feel much better now, thanks for looking out!
