What's the name of the corner lights?

My corner lights on the front are not working.
I don't know what they are called!
It's a pre-LCI E60 in Europe.
Should they be white or orange?
Any ideas of the common problems with them not working?
The ones that look like eyebrows!

Years ago, there was an old version of the car's software that contained a bug that stopped the eyebrow lights from illuminating. I guess it's possible that your car is running that software...

My software was updated this year.
Not sure if the lights were working before that. Don't think so.

Searching Google and Bing seem to indicate that the eyebrow LEDs were disabled on some PROGMAN versions (e.g. v25), but the light control module can be reprogrammed separately to re-enable the eyebrow LEDs.
