Myself, I wash it.
This gives my "time alone" with the car and I have developed a keen eye on defects and such when washing a car. I like to check that the car is on order. I'm too excited at the pick-up day so I cannot see any problems at all that day.
Lowering the suspension (unless you have active suspension) is another "classic" tip.
