I'm seeing so many newer BMWs driving around with only their angel eyes on and they're looking as bright as the Audi LEDs. I want this now. I resisted in the past, but now I'm ready.
What's the number I'm looking to get? I'm seeing 5W and 6W advertised on ebay, and I'm seeing 7000K and 8000K quoted. What would I need in terms of wattage and brightness to get the new BMW angel eye effect.
I'm assuming that I can only have "angel eyes only" on if I put the lights into position 1 (assuming positions Auto/0/1/2). If I have them on Auto (with DRL off), then they only go on in the dark, and when they do go on, the main Xenon lights come on too. So that's no good. Same deal with Auto (with DRL on) really. Equally same deal with light position 2. So I'm thinking that to emulate the "angel eyes only" DRL look, I can only achieve that with light position 1. True?
I won't be able to order from the states, so no links to the good suppliers from over there. I'll need to order in Germany and get a TüV certificate with them. I don't want to go and get the wrong ones though (not enough wattage or K to be bright enough to be proper useful DRLs, even if not in the DRL switch position).

LED Angel Eyes are bright but not as dramatic as HID Angel Eyes. Look for John@Motorcepts in New York. I have his HID Fogs and Angel Eyes. I can see across the state with that set up and during the day the Angel Eyes are very easy to see.
Hope this helps!
