I've read with interest some of the wheel threads on the E60 xi as to what WON'T work (seems like just about everything), so does anyone have a suggestion as to where to look for options that WILL work? I guess I could try Tire Rack and such, but if you are an xi owner that has found a source for rims that fit your car, I'd sure like to be hooked up!

Love this style...

I had one of the only OEM 19 inch options that work with the XI due to high offsets, the style 128 19x8.5, 19x9 wheels off an X3:

They are also for sale in the tri-state area in the personal classified section (shameless advertising)

If you like the look and style, PM me and we can talk. Believe me these rims are very rare.

I had a comprehensive thread on this issue a while back, do a search and you'll see

just a hint: search for non-M e46 rims

Is that to say that the specs for stock 530xi wheels are the same as e46 non-M rims? I've read some of your past threads... they get pretty technical, way beyond my simple mind. I guess I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve using offsets or spacers. Thanks.

Hey - I was wondering what you mean by this. All wheels have offsets, they determine the backspacing of the wheels to the hub. Not all wheels require spacers.

I mean a wheel that matches the specs for the hub onto which it will be mounted without modifications of any kind. In the case of an xi, I'm guessing that all four wheels should be identical as to not compromise the xDrive system and have adequate caliper clearance. I'm not sure what else might differentiate the xi wheel from an i wheel.

The RWD E60's have a much lower offset than the Xi's. The offset of the wheels do not compromise the Xdrive system, just as long as the overall diameter of the wheel and tire combo is close to OEM specs. My current setup now has 35et front and rear, my old setup was 35et fronts and 33et rears but the tires are still the same 245/35 and 275/30
