Ok. I just booked a time for tinting the rear window. Yes, only the rear window.
It's prohibited to tint front door windows here, and I don't want a half/half look by tinting the rear door windows, so I ended up to tint only the rear window.
Thanks to Milko75 for giving me an idea how it would look !
The shop uses Sungard tints, and now it would my decision to choose the asset. I thought the forum members could help me a bit here .
Facts:
- the car is sapphire black
- summer look is blacked out (matte black wheels, shadowline etc..)
- there will be a ACS style roof spoiler on the rear window soon
Thank you!
Any comments and ideas are welcome too of course!

In my opinion anything lighter than 35% is a waste. Id go with 20% personally. It is dark enough, but doesn't affect visibility at night. Are all %s illegal on front windows where you are? Thats crazy. But to be honest my tint is illegal and Ive never had too much trouble...

If your doing just the back window it has to be 20% or 35%, i think the rear door windows and the rear window looks good, all UK cars with factory tints are like this, 35% on the rear doors and back window looks good. In the UK its illegal to tint the front door windows at all aswel, so most people have just the back door windows and rear window, after you get used to it it looks good and stops looking incomplete lol

I think 35% would be good since the side windows are still stock clear, and very big difference could look silly...?

I beg to disagree. A week ago I had my black e60 get the lightest tint I've ever had on any car - 40%. IMHO, it looks awesome. On previous cars I've had tints ranging from 20 to 35, but this time, for this car, I think I got the perfect balance between looks and the law (front's illegal in NJ, we already discussed.)
And lastly - why would anyone say, that a tint that filters 60% of the sun's UV rays, heat, and light is a waste?
