What sound system do I have?

Hello Guy's, I'm the knew guy/first time BMW owner. My question is what type of sound system do I have inorder to persue an upgrade. Any help will be appreciated. My vin is: CT09864

I guess my question after reading many post is Technic still around that makes the harness pnp and if not can you suggest an alternative to a simple install of adding a sub. After checking my vin, I assume I have an HiFi system, with no amp. All I see is a small silver box, doesn't like much like an. All help welcome
