I have 15% all the way around. I live in California where you could have 5% on the back windows but nothing in the front. I have passed by cops, sheriffs, and CHPs and I have never had a problem (knock on wood).

50% all the way around including the windshield. Come Oct, Nov and Dec here in Seattle, when it's dark and gloomy for weeks at a time, it hard to see out out of anything darker.

On my 545i, I have Llumar High Performance 20% on the sides and rear:
On my 325i, I have Huper Optik 30% ceramic tint on the rear and sides:
I prefer the look of the Huper Optik film, because it matches the gray color of the paint for my cars. But I don't think 30% is dark enough. So I am torn between which tint I like best.
When I first got my 545i a couple of years ago, I had the front windshield tinted with Llumar Platinum Plus 35% tint.... but in the hot Florida sun, the tint made the glass heat up and expand, and the windshield cracked in half. So I had to get it replaced. I have not put tint on the front since the replacement.
