What is this part? ( pics included )

My Ride: 2004 545i titanium grey 6 speed manual with light grey interior. Nav, L7, cold weather, sport, sat. Modifications: suede headliner, pianno black interior trim, Ipod dock, Mtech front bumper, Angel Eyes, and flat black kidney grills.

I got this in the box along with my ACM/Roundvision USB retrofit kit. I can't tell what it is for. There is a circuit board under the heat shrink with a BMW three pin plug at the bottom. The part number is hard to read so here it is... By the way, I am in the USA so does this convert any signals from my Euro retrofit kit to work in my US car maybe?
