Came across this. Obviously aftermarket but E60 headlights with PROJECTORS for less than $500 - anyone know what these are like ?

Found another. Same I think but costs a little more.

I like em! We have halogen on our E90 and the available xenon aftermarket options suck compared to the look of those dagger lights.

Actually Chase, there are a boatload of aftermarket options for E9x headlights. I peruse/troll the E90post board sometime, and see quite a bit of offerings. Cheap too, compared to our E60's stuff.

Since the link brought me to eBay for the E60 depo lights I decided to click around - you're right there are many more options than I thought there would be. The prices were so low that they scared me - I hope to go OEM on the conversion when that time comes, but some of those lights look like they would be fun to play with, minus the LED audi-style.

I've learned to stay away from ebay replicas. I've always had problems with parts I guess off ebay from sellers like that, its either cheap quality, doesn't quite fit right or breaks down the line.

Yah, well, just from E90post, it looks like there are at least 5 or 6 sets that people go with on the board. At least half of them already have Orion-styled angel eyes installed, which makes it pretty awesome. The only downside of those, that I heard of, is the projector quality could be better. But that's somewhat expected for aftermarket parts... unless it's a premium upgrade. Regardless though, it would still be better than the stock halogen set up. And if you are up for it, you could always order a better projector and retrofit it and make it a weekend!

Don't discourage him, lol. I have to say though, I do wish some people would just pull the trigger and go ahead and buy these aftermarket E60 headlights. I imagine the reason why they would consider these is because they're not quite willing to spend the few grand for OEM LCI conversion, so they're looking for alternatives. I actually want to see what this looks like, and that other Eagle headlight that pops up once a month in threads installed on cars to take pics.
