My Ride: 2007 530i SMG Jet Black/Beige Sport/Prem/Cold, comfort, split, shades.
Default

I think that this is available in the EU as an option. I have a Jet black 530/beige and I don't like the interior trim color that is the dark popular wood. On E-bay someone is offering the Titanium metallic trim, this is the same color (so i'm told) as the titanium accents on the sport steering wheel and door handles.
I think it might look good becuase the SMG shifter top is also this color.
Any thoughts on this with the light beige interior?
thanks,

I think this is a bad idea - the titanium grey trim looks like plastic and is the 'cheapo' option on the base models in the UK - don't do it.

If you really want to change get anthracite or piano black

Don?t do it.

In 2003 I had to order the car without having seen it ?live?. I chose the titanium grey trim with auburn leather, thinking the titanium trim would give the interior a more ?technical? impression compared with one of the wooden trims.
But in fact as nfs said it looks a little bit cheap. My next one will have a wooden trim again.

I didn't like any of the wood finishes because it made the car look good much of an old man's car. That's the reason why I personally went for the standard titanium grey trim. In fact this was the single point I didn't opt for the Luxury Package because the wood trim was being forced down on me. Infact I called BMW to ask if they would swap the wood trim for the alu trim which is cheaper actually a cheaper standalone option but they couldn't.

So it depends on personal taste. Look at cars with different trims and decide. However I think in terms of resale value the wood would be better.

Titanium trim looks like the cheap plastic it is.

One alternative; take your current trim to a paintshop and let them paint it. They can do it in the same color as your cars' exterior. Might look good.

You guys are right, the titanium will look kind of cheap. I'll stick with the wood.
Thanks for your input.
Cheers
