Depends on the tyre width you plan to use. It Is almost impossible for the rim to rub to the fender, or to the wheel wells.
Ie. an 8J rim with 10mm spacer fitted and with a 245 tyre mounted won't rub, whereas the same setup, but with a 255 tyre, may rub.
Assuming that you have the stock 245 tyres all around, you can go for up to 7 mm spacer - 8 mm max front and up to 15mm spacer - 16 mm max rear, leaving space for a 2-3mm gap.
Available space front stock with 8JX18ET20 and 245/40R18 tire: 10 mm
Available space rear stock with 8JX18ET20 and 245/40R18 tire: 18 mm.

At front, the tire is rubbing to the inner plastic wheel well's center - right above the tyre, not to the fender's arch.
In the rear it will rub to the inner arch, between the upper and the rear end of the wheel arch.
You can only measure correctly with the springs fully pressed.
If you have 235/40 then you can add +4 mm to the spacers above.
