What is the best Air filter for out e60's: The Reusable K&N or AFE, Or the oiled or non oiled air filter?
Which is the best Air Fitler for reusable: The one you have to use a cleaner on, and then re-oil it, or the one you tap to get dirt loose then vacuum aka the non oiled one?
Does anyone here know who makes an Power air intake kit for a 2004 e60 530i? (Are they worth it?)
Thanks in Advance!!

The AFE intake is useless and a waste. It just makes the car louder but actually decreases hp (I've seen ppl say up to a 20hp loss)! I'm reinstalling the factory airbox tomorrow. I can't make any comments about the K&N b/c I've never used it... I'm sure someone will chime in soon... You might want to check out the Dinan website (http://www.dinancars.com/store/home.php?cat=423)... they have a high Flow Intake that i'm going to get but they do not seem to have one for your model but you might want to check out the throttle bodies....

Wait, I'm confused now... you were asking about an intake for a MY2004 530i but your signature says you have an M5... well, if you have a M5 then definitely DO NOT get AFE... use the "search" function up top to query about AFE intakes and M5's... You'll see what I mean...

I went with the Dinan CAI, and I'm happy I did.

Do you feel any "real and noticeable" hp gains and throttle response with the DINAN intake? The reason I ask is b/c I am seriously considering getting this as well but it is really expensive so I want to be sure... Please let me know. Thanks!!
