I heard Darrin is the best when it comes to alignments on any car. I've seen West End Alignment mentioned with the highest of praise in many many many many many different car forums.

I was always intimidated to got there since I know nothing about alignment specs and didn't want to sound stupid since I heard he is short with people who don't know what they want or are doing with their car.
he's probably short with "noobs" because they ask silly or redundant questions....should not be intimidating, just take it as an opportunity to learn from someone who is very well versed in his craft.....

In terms of knowing what you want... I think there's only the expectation of basically what you're looking for.

In other words, it's important to know if you like driving reasonably aggressively, or if you're just driving Mrs Daisy. He can fiddle with the settings to help better fit your car to your preferences. You don't necessarily need to know what you want the front toe settings to be.

He was always very patient with me, taking the time to explain whatever he was doing and how that would affect the balance.

dont worry man, hes the professional, he'll ask you questions to figure out what exactly you want and he'll tell you what hes gonig to do to get it done. Very professional and courteous. He might sound short on the phone because your probably like the 10th caller in the last 5 mins and hes focusing on finishing his customer's car. But in person, when your car is up on that rack, his time is your time, and he gives all the attention to your car.
