Going to get them painted next week.....

M5/6 cluster
This might take some time before installing, cause I have to get it decoded. I plan to have it done the same time of the tuning and removing the speed-limiter. (Than it makes sense)

Another week-bonus..... I'm getting my windows tinted tomorrow!

Nice, it definitely will finish your car! You say you bought it for a nice price, could you specify where you got it/for how much?

The mirrors I bought from a guy who I found on the internet. He can also deliver the M5 mirrors. Mine were ?600,-, the M5 are ?500,- + ?100,- for the EC glass. (if there is interest I can ask for a group buy!) He can deliver LCI, but I don't know the price yet.

The M5/6 cluster was found on Ebay. I just followed the auction and in the end forgot about it and was just too late, the auction was ended. But....... no bidders, so I e-mailed the guy and offered him the minimun (start bid) price, which was ?199,- We agreed, and thats how it went!!

?199?! Thats cheap You got a bargain there

Maybe a silly question, why you need to get it decode? to eliminate the old mileage on the cluster?
Do you need to reprogramme it at the dealer?

It needs to be coded for my car, so everything works like it should be without any warning signs. Like the M6 is manual/SMG and my car is an automatic/steptronic.

Keith, a used cluster has already been coded with another chassis number in the cluster EEPROM and programmed according to the previous car's board computer. One has to wipe the EEPROM first and bring the cluster to a reset condition and then the EEPROM is coded with your chassis number. This has to be done by taking the cluster apart and coding the appropriate chip.
Then the cluster can be programmed so that the car accepts/validates it.
Mind you, any time you go for a software update you need to swap the cluster around with the original one. Progman will identify this as a M5 part no. and will not proceed with the update. No big deal, but need to have it in mind.
