VOSSEN are OK wheels. Nice. They're like 15 mins away from my house.
If you want to find the same design of wheels for cheaper try HP Racing Wheels I had these before.

Why not just get the 20's, and go with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20? That will be the same sidewall thickness as the 19" setup.

Agreed, once you mount the 19"s, you'll regret not getting 20s. Everyone is worried about wheel protection, but to be honest, there isn't much difference. If you curb, you're going to curb, if you hit a pothole, you're going to bend.

Unless his car is a V8 or sports package, and its lowered. Then he will have to go with 245/30/20 and 285/25/20, and that will greatly increase his chances of bending rims.

True, I had a more aggressive offset rear wheels with 255/35/20 tires and I just needed a minor fender roll and no rub on stock sports suspension. Unless he runs more aggressive offsets, I would think 275/30/20 should be fine in the back, especially if he goes 10.5" or 11" rears since the 275 will be more stretched.

V6 - Non-Sport, lowered with H&R Springs
Vossen VVS-085
20x9 and 20x10.5
245/35/20 and 275/30/20
No rub and no fender roll.
These pics were taken right after we finished everything. Once the springs settled in, this car sat pretty.

Hey, that's my car, just a different color. Which H&R springs are they? How much did it drop it by? 9 front 10.5 in the back, doesn't that suck gas significantly?

If anything, the fact that they are 20" wheels would be what would lower your mpg. Also, aren't they cast wheels? I think the VF series is their forged line right?
