Vinyl Wrap All Done!
I had updated my 05 545 with a Mtech front and rear bumper plus a quad exhaust. Since the original black paint was getting bad, I decided to go with a blue gloss wrap. I found a really good shop near my work, and it turned out really well. Here is a picture:
This was about 1/3 the cost of paint, and should last for a few years, longer than I hope to have the car. Just have to keep it clean!

To answer that question I know no one notifies any registration body/insurance for wraps let alone paint alterations in Canada. But that's from my experience in the midwest to east coast. I wouldn't see it being a legal matter.

I have a jet blk 07 550i and I had paint issues on my trunk lid, roof and hood so I had them wrapped in jet black. Looks real good. People can't even tell unless I say something. But they all ask how do I keep a black car living in Florida so shinny

I'll post some more pics soon. I got it done at Bosworth Customs in the Southend. The owner Chad is a maniac about perfect details. He actually wrapped my car 2 or 3 times before he was happy. He had an issue with a bad 3M wrap material, but we switched to Avery, and it turned out really well. I try to wash it weekly, and I have used a detailing polish which makes it look like paint. What I really love is if I have an issue in an area, I can just re-wrap it in the future.
