I prefer the high pitch, F1 sounds of an m5 but that still sounds awesome. I am surprised you are willing to take such a performance hit for the sound. Lots of nice sounding exhausts there with maintence of performance. I would be pissed to see performance drop so much just for a louder sound.

Also cops are more likely to eye you which is the downside

I actually heard this exhaust in person and it was F'in LOUD.

Me and jet were set to meet somewhere and on the way to the location i heard a very loud exhaust... me and my friend were trying to figure out what kind of car it was and then when a 545i zoomed by i realized... driving behind him i had resonance in my cabin :x

Saaawweeet, Rich. Did you have the straight pipes that day I saw you at Bloomies? Think you had just the E-race at the time??

Sorry, but I'll have to take the crown for loudest E60. Hope I can make it on Wednesday....

Sounds awesome Rich! I can't wait to hear it in person tomorrow, at the Dinner/Meet.

Boner - I got money down that says you're a "no-show".

Damn, Rich, I might involuntarily take second place on the loudest category. I'll try to get some video clips later tonight before my wife kills me.

Can't say I like it ... in the UK, the only cars that sound like that are 17 year olds in a Saxo, Nova, or anything else with a 1.1 litre engine and an exhaust the size of a soup can. I think it sounds tacky and nasty. But hey, each to their own, I drive a diesel, what do I know !
