I think that DIY guide was based on older version... probably not much different as all you need is to maintain the fiber loop that cover all the devices.

Maybe follow the advice of drinking a cup of tea and kicking your dog?! Hang in there you will get it figured out.

that would be the neighbours cat i'll be kicking, anyway, im so pissed off coz everyone seems to know how to do it but me, and i bloody managed to get the car giving a SOS call error too, how beautiful !

The main reason you got SOS failed error 'cuz you've managed to break the fiber loop ... check the in/out light on the fiber cables make sure they flow the correct direction.

ufffffffffff finally managed to get it working, but no cd changer. i just made a simple circuit that can't possibly go wrong !

the cd changer and the dension can not work at the same time. that is what the switch on the unit with the rca plugs is for. one position sets the dension as the CD changer, the other lets the CD changer work (and is what the car should be set to when you drop it off for service.) you can switch while the car is on, the audio drops out for about 5-10secs and when it comes back you will be able to play the source you selected.
