My Ride: BMW 525d M Sport 2006
hiya guys, iv got the DG500 and im just struggling to find what this (circled in red) is? anyone knows? it says a cable goes there, but WHAT IS IT that the cable going in it and another cable leaves it?! thanks in advance

this is what it looks like
but in real life, there are sockets and outlets for those devices coming out the Dension it self, so why does the diagram show them connected via two cables?
i wish there was a simple easy to follow DIY, i found one, but not detailed enough, and now my car is full of cables all over the place, with the cd changer out and the dension on the passenger floor ... a complete mess

No I think that's would be your iDrive ... it seems it re-present the head unit.
Is your GW500 the newer version? The older version only has single fiber plug the newer has dual plug dedicated in & out.
I followed the instruction and did the physical install myself no problem just follow it carefully.

right ... a very straightforward question, is there any other cable in the car other than the one i unpluged from the cdchanger?

So you got dual MOST port on the GW ... Are you gonna chain the CDC? I don't use my CDC so I followed guide #3b if you are gonna chain the CDC you probably should be using guide #2a on http://dension.com/download.php?file...tallguide1.pdf
