No, I'm right! That thing doesn't make your car faster, it just makes you think your car is faster. All you're doing is making your throttle response more sensitive but the same effect could be had by using the kick-down.

how much more sensitive is the Velocity compared to an Automatic SB? I have a manual transmission, and sometimes the Auto SB isn't sensitive enough, wish I got the Manual SB. Would the Velocity be more sensitive on Level 4 than a Manual SB?

wrong. Even if you floor it, your throttle response is still slow. Therefore if you were to line up 2 equal cars, one with a sprint booster/velocity... the one with the SB/V would get a head start. True, it doesnt make your car "faster" but you do get a better diving experience and better throttle response.
