I decided on the V1 (vs. Passport 9500i) but now want to see in particular where you are putting the detector and the remote.
Thanks all!

My Ride: 2005 545i (SMG)
Titanium Gray
Black Interior, Anthracite Trim
M-tech kit
Sport Package
Premium Sound
Satellite Radio
Active Cruise
Comfort Seats

Folding rear seats
Mine is hardwired into the wires above the rearview mirror.
The detector itself is suction-cupped to the front windshield, above the rearview mirror, on the passenger side. This is the best position because it gives excellent view of front and rear, is easy to see and use controls, yet remains out of the way.
I don't use the remote display, because I find that my V1 is easily visible where I have it.
These pics are from my 325i. Notice that I can put down the passanger side sun visor completely.

Ok so this is in your E90, so I should have the same clearance for the visor in the E60 correct?

Yup.
In fact, the clearance in the E60 is even better.... as you can see.
And to think people here didn't believe me before.
